Dundonald Links

Located at the very heart of Ayrshire, Dundonald offers a classic links golf experience for all to savour.  With its breathtaking views of the Isle of Arran and the Firth of Clyde, this unparalleled golfing experience seamlessly marries the challenges of the game with the beauty of its natural surroundings. This championship course, designed by the legendary Kyle Phillips, beckons golf enthusiasts to test their skills against its undulating fairways, deep bunkers, and strategic water features. Beyond the course, indulge in the warmth of Scottish hospitality at the clubhouse, where exceptional dining and panoramic vistas await.

Royal Troon

Current Open rota course Royal Troon.  This place has been the scene of victories for Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, Tom Weiskopf (his lone major victory), and Henrik Stenson, whose Sunday round of 63 defeated Phil Mickelson's 65 to win The 145th Open.  Although the course is lengthy, it is frequently commended for its rigorous yet equitable setup. Troon has the longest and shortest holes among Open venues: the 6th hole, named "Turnberry," is 601 yards long, and the 8th hole, dubbed "Postage Stamp," is 126 yards long.  With a moderate opening nine, the layout offers you a time to establish your game, but the inward nine is regarded as one of the trickiest sections of major championship golf.

Carnoustie

Renowned as one of the toughest links courses globally, Carnoustie has hosted The Open Championship on multiple occasions, solidifying its status as a golfing institution. The course, intricately woven into the coastal landscape, demands strategic prowess with its unforgiving bunkers, meandering fairways, and the iconic "Barry Burn." As you navigate the challenging layout, you'll follow in the footsteps of golfing legends who have graced these hallowed grounds. The course's championship pedigree and dramatic seaside setting make it a must-play destination for golf enthusiasts seeking an authentic Scottish golfing experience. Carnoustie Golf Links is not just a course; it's a journey through the soul of the sport, offering an unforgettable and challenging golfing adventure that leaves an indelible mark on every player fortunate enough to tee off on this storied links

Trump Turnberry

As evidenced by Turnberry's Ailsa Course, perfection cannot be rushed.  Founded in 1902 but nearly disappeared after the Second World War when it was turned into an airbase with multiple holes filled in with concrete runways, almost causing it to vanish. Restored and reopened in 1951, it is now regarded as one of Scotland's best links, so much so that it hosted the 1977 Open, won by Tom Watson with a 65-65 weekend over Jack Nicklaus' 65-66.  Before The Open in 2009, MacKenzie & Ebert made a lot of changes, and Ebert came back in 2015 to make a significant improvement.  The outcome is amazing, especially (though not exclusively) on holes 9–11, which play across and along the bay with a view of the club’s famous lighthouse which includes an incredible two-bedroom suite and one of the most memorable halfway houses in golf.

Gleneagles PGA Centenary

Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course, nestled amid the rolling hills of Perthshire, Scotland just one hour’s drive from the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.  Jack Nicklaus described the PGA Centenary course as the “finest parcel of land in the world I’ve been given to work with” and he’s certainly done it proud. Host to both the Ryder Cup 2014 and Solheim Cup 2019, this masterpiece of a course offers a stern challenge in a fabulous setting.  Foodies will have no shortage of options thanks to four restaurants, including Scotland's only two-star Andrew Fairlie Restaurant. The resort offers a variety of outdoor activities like shooting, salmon fishing, off-road driving, horseback riding, gun dog training, and guided hiking in addition to first-rate spa and wellness amenities.

Dumbarnie Links

Dumbarnie Links was selected to host the Women's Scottish Open on the Ladies European Tour in 2021 after quickly establishing a stellar reputation. less than two years after it opened to the public, Designed by architect Clive Clark, this contemporary, elite Championship links course is situated on a magnificent piece of coastal land that runs between Elie and Lundin. With fourteen of the holes offering unobstructed views of the water across the Firth of Forth as it winds through a mile and a half of true links terrain.  Constructed across 345 acres of the Balcarres Estate, the course boasts several tees and greens situated near the water, as well as intriguing elevation changes. Dumbarnie Links boasts an astounding twelve tee box configurations. Professionals can extend the course to 7,600 yards, but for average players, the shorter setups offer plenty of fun, including three possible driveable par-4s and several risk-reward opportunities.
