A common question we get from our clients is “when is the best time to golf in Arizona?” Well there's never a bad time to visit Scottsdale, but we do have some tips and tricks, including when golf prices drop, to make sure your time on the links is not only a memorable one but also affordable.
Let’s start with when golf prices are at their lowest, because who doesn’t love a deal? June through August is when you’ll find low rates but high temperatures. Tee off at sunrise to get the coolest part of the day and then reward yourself with some afternoon chill time by the pool. This is the time to play multiple bucket-list courses and not break the bank.

TPC Scottsdale
The home of the PGA tours Waste Management Pheonix Open. The Stadium Course includes the famous 16th hole, which is setup with its incredible stadium style grand stands. At over 7,200 yards from the championship tees it can seem a bit daunting but the fairways are much more forgiving than the typical desert-style layout. TPC Scottsdale is only ten miles from Old Town Scottsdale and roughly twenty miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
We-Ko-Pa
There are two beautiful courses at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club - The Cholla and The Saguaro. Both are completely absent of any housing or other development allowing golfers to fully immerse themselves in the breathtakingly picturesque Arizona Mountains. In addition to providing guests with first-rate lodging and an amazing array of on-site amenities, this opulent resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, has an amazing location in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. It also gives guests access to a wide range of nearby attractions, including the many top-notch golf courses in the Scottsdale region.

Troon North
One of Scottsdale's shining diamonds, Troon North is home to two championship courses that represent the pinnacle of desert golf and draw players from all over the globe.
The Monument and Pinnacle golf courses are both immaculately maintained and offer breathtaking views as they wind around organic ravines, with enormous stones sculpting the course. Troon North’s courses consistently rank at the top of every golfer’s must-play list. Recent course renovations by original designer and British Open Champion Tom Weiskopf have created two new layouts that bring his original concept to life.
Quintero
Ranked as the “Best Public Course” by both Golf Digest and GolfWeekly Magazines in 2017, the course was designed by master golf course architect Rees Jones. Experience Arizona golfing at its very best. Artistically carved out of a pristine piece of lush Arizona desert, Quintero golf course is described as the “Purest Golf Experience” in the Southwest, testing players at every level of expertise in the game.

Grayhawk
Grayhawk Golf Club offers an unforgettable lineup of golf with its Raptor and Talon courses leading the way as two of the best public golf courses in Scottsdale. Located 16 miles north of downtown Scottsdale, Grayhawk encapsulates a true desert golf experience with generous fairways, sweeping undulations, and deep bunkers. The Tom Fazio-designed Raptor Course at Grayhawk is listed among the best public golf courses in Arizona by Golfweek and Golf Magazine and is one of only two Scottsdale courses to have hosted a PGA TOUR event.
