Troon North (Monument)
One of Scottsdale's shining diamonds, Troon North is home to two championship courses that represent the pinnacle of desert golf and draw players from all over the globe. Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish took a golf course in the middle of the desert and turned it into British Open golf. There may not be ocean views and the wind doesn't blow all that hard but most of the greens allow for bump-and-run shots, and the hole titles are a tip of the cap to the Open. The "Hell Bunker", the par-5 ninth hole, while "St. Andrews" is the 18th. Troon North's Monument Course has two drivable par 4s - the 299-yard 15th hole and the 306-yard sixth -- but three of its par 3s are more than 200 yards, including No. 16, which measures a whopping 244 yards from the tips and drops about 50 feet from tee to green.

Quintero
Ranked as the “Best Public Course” by both Golf Digest and GolfWeekly Magazines in 2017, the course was designed by master golf course architect Rees Jones. Experience Arizona golfing at its very best. Artistically carved out of a pristine piece of lush Arizona desert, Quintero golf course is described as the “Purest Golf Experience” in the Southwest, testing players at every level of expertise in the game.

Grayhawk
Talon and Raptor, two of the top public courses in the state, can be found at Grayhawk Golf Club, which is 16 miles north of Scottsdale, Arizona's downtown. Deep bunkers, wide undulations, and large fairways all combine to provide the perfect desert golf experience. Golfers can enjoy a pleasant challenge in the desert with breathtaking views of the McDowell Mountains throughout a round of play on either of the two courses. Grayhawk is a great place to come and play some of the greatest golf in the area.

There are two beautiful courses at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club - The Cholla and The Saguaro. Both are completely absent of any housing or other development allowing golfers to fully immerse themselves in the breathtakingly picturesque Arizona Mountains. In addition to providing guests with first-rate lodging and an amazing array of on-site amenities, this opulent resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, has an amazing location in the heart of the Sonoran Desert. TPC Scottsdale
The home of the PGA tours Waste Management Pheonix Open. The Stadium Course includes the famous 16th hole, which is setup with its incredible stadium style grand stands. At over 7,200 yards from the championship tees it can seem a bit daunting but the fairways are much more forgiving than the typical desert-style layout. TPC Scottsdale is only ten miles from Old Town Scottsdale and roughly twenty miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
