England

Why book a golf package to England?

In addition to being a fantastic travel destination for history buffs and tourists, England is also home to some internationally recognized golf courses.  A golf tour of England gives you the opportunity to take in the country's stunning, undulating landscape, see some of the most famous sites in the world, and experience its vibrant social scene.

Whether it’s the Holy Trinity of the north west – the Royal's of Liverpool, Birkdale and Lytham – or a visit to England’s far south east corner of Kent, which is home to another trio of stunning Open Championship links in Royal St George’s, Princes and Royal Cinque Ports…you are spoilt for choice.

Royal St Georges

Royal St George’s is not your traditional out and back layout, but more like Muirfield with two broadly circular nines loosely representing a figure of eight. All the holes are very different and memorable blending beautifully into the natural surroundings, which tends to be a true sign of a great golf course.

Over the year’s modifications have taken place to try and soften the number of blind shots on this original Donald Steel masterpiece, however, the severely undulating fairways, wild rough and penal bunkering make good scoring very tough indeed.

Royal Cinque Ports

A classic links layout with the out-and-back nines, Royal Cinque Ports sits on Kent’s east coast in the very southeast of England. It is one of three past and present Open Championship courses along this short stretch of coastline, with Royal St George’s and Prince's being the other two.

Having undergone a significant redevelopment since 2017, the club held the prestigious 2023 Women's Amateur Championship and hosted the Final Qualifying for The Open Championship from 2018 to 2022. The club is now ever-present in all Top 100 Great Britain and Ireland rankings and is embarking on perhaps its most ambitious period in modern history since hosting the 1932 Open Championship, famously won by Gene Sarazen.

LYTHAM.jpg

Royal Lytham & St Annes

Renowned as one of the best designed links courses in the world with 174 strategically positioned pot bunkers peppering the fairways and surrounding the greens, lying in wait for errant shots. The Course has a charm all of its own, flanked by a railway line and surrounded by suburban housing. It is a Links Course away from the sea yet close enough for the sea breeze to have an effect on one’s game.

Royal Liverpool

The Royal Liverpool Golf Club links at Hoylake can be beautiful, uplifting, challenging, and even daunting when the wind blows and the summer rough is deep. The course was created to be a demanding test of golf and remains so today. Being one of the oldest of all the English seaside clubs, it lies at the very heart of the history and development of the game in Great Britain.  Most recent Open Winner - Brian Harman
